At last

June 24th, 2006

We have reached the last line of our 11 x 11 grid. Only 11 places are free and after this, you have to be better than somebody else to get to the grid and stay there.

So tell other podcasters about seconds11 and the fun begins.

By the way, thanks for everybody who has partizipated so far. We are very happy and I have heard of a lot of podcasters, that the really get links back from seconds11. Thats very nice for us and for them.

We have delivered more than 9300 clicks to the participating podcasters and more to come.

Keep on podcasting. And by the way, if you want to upload a new promotion of your podcast — just do it.

April 26th, 2006

Last monday was the second Web Montag in Munich and I presented the application in about 10 minutes. if you are interested in the presentation (its is german) you can download the pdf file here.

A question from Johann was: how long did it take to implement seconds11?

My answer: about 48 hours and little more for the copy of the page and the graphics.

His reply: so you can just implement a hundred of these application, maybe one will be bought by Yahoo.

Nice idea. Thanks

47 : 74

April 14th, 2006

we have now 47 entries and 74 are free so far. I have managed to write the code behind tagging and if you insert a new entry, you will see, that you can list your tags for your blog / podcast.

please try to mention your language and other useful categories and try to use only english words for the categories. i guess this will help in the start with the tagging cloud.

It is very nice to see all the entries coming and I have even found lots of new podcasts and music to listen to. if you like to backlink from your blog you can now use a special url which counts for your clicks. if you want to know your url just write an email to seconds11@seconds11.com.

switzerland, spain, italy, canada and germany

April 12th, 2006

so far we have got a lot of entries from germany, but the first international podcasts spots appear on seconds11.

As far as I can tell, we have entries from switzerland, spain, canada, italy and a lot from germany and more to come soon. We are not very happy with the scoreing but we have the data, so we could change the formula a bit in the future. but time will show, how this works out.

Since we have now more the 35 entries I am looking forward to fill the grid till next week. I also have included a “pushup” button, that you can use to show, that you are on seconds11. the technorati button shows the recent blog entries. we have now visitors from more than 35 countries world wide. we are also thinking about, how we could show the different languages of the podcasts, but it could also be very funny to hear the different languages.
thanks for all the postings and the entries in seconds11.

at last - a blog

April 10th, 2006

now we are nearly complete - just kidding - since thursday last week we have done a lot of things, as we have designed and implemented this little site.

how did this all start, you may ask ?

Alex, Hendrik and myself were sitting together on wednesday, talking about another little project and we at last we were talking about 25peeps.com, the site, which Hendrik has brought up a few weeks ago and which is doing quite well.

We came about the idea to do 25pods.com, but it was just a joke. but the idea was born and the next day I sat down with pantaleon and korbinian and we were doing some tests, what was possible with podcasts on a site, with the same basic idea as 25peeps.com.

And here we are. thanks for the warm reception. we will see, what will bring the future for seconds11.com

seconds11 had a great start

April 10th, 2006

seconds11, our little new site for promoting podcasts or blogs with 11 seconds with your own audio file, has made a nice start so far.

In then first 24 hours we had more that 22 new entries and lots of visitors, who checked the site and have heard your famous 11 seconds.

Thanks to everybody who has helped kickstart this project, especially Oliver, Robert and Klaus and all the podcasters who have mentioned their partizipation on seconds11.com
